Annual Perseids Meteor Shower

Every year me and James gets as many friends who’s available for the annual Perseids meteor shower. Some years we just head into the mountains for a few hours, some years we plan a group camp trip. This year we booked a campsite near Mt. High but unfortunately it was canceled due to fires - but not our first cancellation due to fires. Instead of calling it quits, we decide to hit a first come first serve site up the 14, north of Lancaster to Red Rock Canyon State Park. Our first morning there a strange wave of rain rolled through our camp and soaked everything, but conveniently dried quickly with the extreme heat. Glad to see dozens of shooting stars.

I was able to capture a few photos - enjoy!
